- TIMELINE - 1910
On May 26, 1910, Imi Lichtenfeld (Z”L), the creator of Krav Maga, was born in Budapest.
1942
Krav Maga was created in the region known today as Israel.
At the time, Imi joined the Haganá group, which fought for the protection of the local Jewish community and the country's independence and, in this context, he created Krav Maga.

1948
Independence of Israel. At this time, Krav Maga was evaluated, tested and then adopted as the sole defense philosophy of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), as it is to this day. So Imi became the chief physical fitness and self-defense instructor for the Israeli army. - TIMELINE -
1963/1964
The teaching of Krav Maga was open to the civilian population. Until then, his techniques were restricted to the elite troops of the Israeli army. - TIMELINE -
1964
On July 31, 1964, Kobi Lichtenstein was born in Rehovot, Israel. - TIMELINE -
1968
Kobi started training Krav Maga with Imi, the creator of Krav Maga. - TIMELINE -
1971
Imi awarded the first black belt to Eli Avigzar and completed the first instructor course. - TIMELINE -
1978
The Israeli Krav Maga Association was founded. - TIMELINE -
1990
On January 18, 1990, Grandmaster Kobi introduced Krav Maga to Latin America, with the guidance and blessing of Imi. Currently, this day is recognized, by law, as the national day of Krav Maga in Brazil. - TIMELINE -

Inauguration of Top Defense, the first Krav Maga center in Latin America, in Rio de Janeiro. - TIMELINE -
1993

2000 Grandmaster Kobi formed his first black belts. - TIMELINE - 2010
- TIMELINE - "Krav Maga 2010” - the biggest Krav Maga event in history, bringing together the great world Krav Maga masters and delegations from 28 countries, through seminars, lectures, workshops, cultural events and tribute nights. All of this was recorded in the book of Guinness records, with the largest self-defense class in history, held by Grand Master Kobi on the sands of Copacabana.
