On May 26, 1910, Imi Lichtenfeld (Z "L) was born, the creator of the
Krav Maga, in Budapest.


Krav Maga was created, in the region known today as Israel. Ay the time, Imi joined the Haganá group, who fought for the protection of the
local jewish community and the country's independence, in this context created the Krav Maga.


Israel's independence. At this time, the Krav Maga was
evaluated, tested and then adopted as the only defense philosophy of the
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), as it is until today. Thus, Imi became the head instructor of physical preparation and personal defense of the Israeli army.


The teaching of the Krav Maga was open to the civilian population. Up to this
moment, his techniques were restricted to the israeli army's elite troops.


On July 31, 1964, Kobi Lichtenstein was born in Rehovot, Israel.


Kobi began training Krav Maga with Imi, the creator of Krav Maga.


Imi handed the first black belt to Eli Avigzar and performed the first instructor course.


The Israeli Krav Maga Association was founded.


On January 18, 1990, the Grand Master Kobi introduced the Krav Maga in Latin America, with the guidance and blessing of Imi. Today, this day is recognized by law as the National Day of Krav Maga in Brazil.

"Krav Maga 2010"-the biggest event of Krav Maga in history, gathering the great masters of Krav Maga worldwide and delegations from 28 countries, through seminars, lectures, workshops, cultural events and night of tributes. All this was registered in the Guinness Book of Records, with the largest self defense class in history, held by the Grand Master Kobi on the sands of Copacabana.


Grand Master Kobi completed 50 years of Krav Maga.
